Life Can Be Hard. Therapy Shouldn't Be.
Life Can Be Hard. Therapy Shouldn't Be. A calm and safe space can go a long way in helping us find our way forward. I understand that there is no one size fits all in therapy. Every person and every motivation to seek counseling is different. Nevertheless, you've arrived here. Let's begin your journey towards being a better you. My therapy style can best be described as compassionate, caring, and humorous. Afterall, laughter can be a powerful tool. I approach my work holistically by working with my clients to best understand their needs while looking at how their basic needs are being met.
With over 9 years of direct service as a therapist, I understand how important it is to have a meaningful connection with your provider. In large part to my various experiences, I am comfortable working with 1st gen college students, survivors of traumatic events, individuals experiencing anxiety and depression. and those living through major life changes.
Outside of the therapy room, I work to decrease stigma around mental health by offering trainings and workshops on topics such as Mental Health First Aid, Trauma's Impact on Learners, and increasing access to mental health care in higher education settings.
